The Empire of Rema traces its legitimacy to the coronation of the First Emperor in Rema, the Eternal City, when the old Republic gave way to imperial rule. For centuries the throne sat in Rema itself; then the court moved east. The Patriarchate of Shorn never accepted the move: Rema must once again become the heart of the Empire.
La Marca del SudThe Southern March
La prima regione che esploreremo è la Marca del Sud (detta anche Marca Meridionale), la provincia più meridionale dell'Impero: una terra di confine un tempo unita sotto guardiani imperiali, oggi un mosaico di repubbliche, ducati, principati, regni ed enclavi teocratiche, ciascuno geloso delle proprie libertà, legati da fragili fili di commercio, fede e dalla minaccia di un intervento imperiale. Siamo nel 1492 AUC, l'Anno della Civetta.
The first region we will explore is the Southern March (Marca Meridionale in Italian), the southernmost province of the Empire: a borderland once united under direct imperial guardians, now a mosaic of republics, duchies, principalities, kingdoms and theocratic enclaves, each jealous of its own liberties, bound by fragile threads of trade, faith and the lingering threat of imperial intervention. The year is 1492 AUC, the Year of the Owl.
